In this article, we will show you step by step how you can easily operate your electrical drop-down bed manually and move it to the desired end position even if the motor fails. The individual steps are explained in detail in the video. This means you can take your time to look at the process and easily implement the individual handles yourself.
To operate the drop-down bed manually, you will need the enclosed crank, a plastic wedge and a small Phillips screwdriver. Keep all tools to hand so that you can carry out the next steps easily and without interruption.
In the first step, carefully remove the cover of the drop-down bed switch. Use the plastic wedge to gently loosen the cover. Then remove the screws with the Phillips screwdriver and remove the switch insert completely from the holder. To make it easier to remove the switch insert, you can also remove the upholstery from the drop-down bed. This gives you better access from the inside and makes it easier to reach the installed cables.
Once the cover has been removed, place the crank handle on the holder provided. Then push the crank arm upwards and hold it firmly. Ensure that the crank handle is securely in place and correctly locked. Then turn the crank clockwise smoothly and without jerky movements until the drop-down bed reaches the desired end position.
After the drop-down bed has been brought into position, push the crank fastening arm back down and then remove the crank. Then fit the switch cover and fasten it completely.
The drop-down bed is now in the desired position and adapts flexibly to your needs: more freedom of movement during the day or a comfortable place to sleep at night. And without any electrical system.
