STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE.

In this article, we will show you step by step how you can transform your lounge seating area into a cosy sleeping berth in no time at all and enjoy even more flexibility and comfort when travelling. Take a look at the individual steps in the video and let us show you the conversion in an easy-to-understand way.

Remove the seat upholstery.

As a first step, start by carefully removing the seat upholstery in the lounge seating area behind the driver’s seat. Then put the cushion to one side so that there is enough space for the conversion. Also make sure that the upholstery is put away cleanly so that it can be used again later without any problems.

Lower the lift table.

In the next step, lower the lift table slowly and evenly until it is flush with the surrounding seat surface. Check that the table is stable and positioned straight to create a continuous and level sleeping area.

Insert cushion for the sleeping area.

Now take the enclosed cushion set for the sleeping area and place the individual elements evenly on the lowered table. Align the upholstery carefully so that there are no gaps and a smooth, comfortable sleeping area is created. Make sure that all cushions are firmly and evenly positioned.

Optional: Insert back cushion.

For additional comfort, you can then reinsert the backrest cushion. This creates an even more comfortable lying sensation for restful and cosy nights on the go.

Use sleeping area.

Once the upholstery has been inserted, the sleeping area is fully prepared and ready for immediate use. This allows you to create an additional sleeping berth in your Carthago motorhome in no time at all, which is ideal for spontaneous overnight stays and offers more flexibility when travelling.
