AULENDORFER CASTLE
The castle with its Gothic stepped gables is visible from afar and stands in the centre of the town of Aulendorf. The building, which has grown over the centuries, unites five stylistic epochs and, with its classicist rooms, offers the ideal setting for exhibitions of a wide variety of works of art. The castle also offers a media castle tour, where the history of the castle can be experienced anew with the help of smartphones or rental tablets.

VOGEL HERRENMÜHLE
At the foot of Aulendorf Castle, the Vogel family has a long family tradition of running the last small grinding mill in the district of Ravensburg. The Herrenmühle has been in continuous operation for over four centuries. In the mill shop, the Vogel family sells various types of flour, baked goods and much more. The Aulendorf Reibolf beer from the small castle brewery is also sold there.

PFARRKIRCHE ST. MARTIN
Schon vor mehr als 1.000 Jahren stand an diesem Ort eine dem heiligen Martin geweihte romanische Kirche. Seither trug fast jede Generation dazu bei, dieses Gotteshaus zu erweitern oder auszuschmücken. So blieben kostbare Werke aus verschiedenen Epochen von der späten Gotik bis zur Gegenwart in bunter Folge erhalten. Über Jahrhunderte sorgte die Standesherrschaft der Grafen von Königsegg für eine reiche und zum Teil wertvolle Ausstattung. Kirche und Schloss sind direkt zusammengebaut; geistliche und weltliche Macht verschmolzen hier zu einer Einheit. Nachdem der Schlosskomplex in 10-jähriger Arbeit saniert und 1997 mit neuem Leben erfüllt war, wurde 1999 auch die Kirche renoviert. Auffallend sind die sorgfältig restaurierten Decken mit ihrem MörtelStuck aus dem frühen Rokoko.

STADTGESCHICHT(N)
Das Bürgermuseum im alten Kino präsentiert einen kurzweiligen Rundgang durch die Stadtgeschichte. Schon das gelungene umgebaute Gebäude lohnt einen Besuch: Hier befand sich einst das erste Kino von Aulendorf. Über 10 Jahre hinweg sanierte der Geschichtsverein TRADITIO e. V. mit viel Eigeninitiative das Haus und richtete für Bürger und Gäste das Bürgermuseum ein. Und das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen! Reizvolle Installationen und Medienstationen führen auf einem abwechslungsreichen Spaziergang durch die jüngsten zwei Jahrhunderte der Stadtgeschichte.

SCHLOSSBRAUEREI AULENDORF
Beer has been brewed in Aulendorf since 1692. After a 40-year interruption to the 300-year brewing tradition, beer such as “Reibolf” has been brewed in the castle’s former stables again since 2008.
